چکیده

The structure from motion (SfM) problem in computer vision is the problem of recovering the 3D structure of a stationary scene from a set of projective measurements, represented as a collection of 2D images, via estimation of motion of the cameras corresponding to these images. In essence, SfM involves the three main stages of (1) extraction of features in images (e.g., points of interest, lines, etc.) and matching of these features between images, (2) camera motion estimation (e.g., using relative pairwise camera poses estimated from the extracted features), (3) recovery of the 3D structure using the estimated motion and features (e.g., by minimizing the so-called reprojection error). This survey mainly focuses on the relatively recent developments in the literature pertaining to stages (2) and (3). More specifically, after touching upon the early factorization-based techniques for motion and structure estimation, we provide a detailed account of some of the recent camera location estimation methods in the literature, which precedes the discussion of notable techniques for 3D structure recovery. We also cover the basics of the simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) problem, which can be considered to be a specific case of the SfM problem. Additionally, a review of the fundamentals of feature extraction and matching (i.e., stage (1) above), various recent methods for handling ambiguities in 3D scenes, SfM techniques involving relatively uncommon camera models and image features, and popular sources of data and SfM software is included in our survey.

Influences of temporal evolution of ground motion frequency content on developed dynamic ratcheting in SDOF systems

Dynamic Ratcheting (DR) is a nonlinear dynamic phenomenon occurring in hysteretic damping systems. It means the structural plastic deformation increases asymmetrically in successive cycles under an earthquake excitation. Although it is generally recognized that DR is closely related to the frequency contents of an earthquake excitation applied to thestructure, no targeted analysis has bee...

Evaluation of Seismic Behavior of Steel Moment Resisting Frames Considering Nonlinear Soil-structure Interaction

In structural analysis, the base of structures is usually assumed to be completely rigid. However, the combination of foundation and the subsurface soil, makes in fact a flexible-base for the soil-structure system. It is well-known that the structural responses can be significantly affected by incorporating the Soil-structure Interaction (SSI) effects. The aim of the present study is to provide...

Stability analysis of concrete gravity basestructures in rocking motion under wave effect

Given the worldwide industry progress in the construction of massive concrete structures, it would be a good idea to use concrete gravity base structures (GBS).In this regard, better understanding of thesestructuresregardingtheiradvantages and disadvantages in offshore areas seems necessary. The present study employed MacCammy-Fuchs method, which is based on the size of the structure to the wave...

An Investigation on the Parameters Influencing the Pounding in Highway Bridges

The present aim of this study is to investigate the effect of different parameters influencing pounding in highway bridges. Pounding is the result of a collision between two parts of the deck and/or the deck and abutments at the separation distance during the earthquake.  In the present study, the period ratio of the adjacent frames, ground motion spatial variation, and soil-structure interacti...
